How do I start a business

Registering the name of your business

Provincial law specifies that no person may operate or advertise under a business name (other than their own personal name) until that business name is registered in the Province of Saskatchewan.

Incorporating a business

Business owners will often want to, or need to, incorporate their businesses as a legal entity. This can be done either provincially (Province of Saskatchewan) or federally (Government of Canada), depending on the business and on the owner’s intentions.
